Quick question:
Does anyone know what the USR (Unit status report) class is about? What does it entail? What responsibilities come it? And what can I do with it?

2LT (Join to see) If I had to guess, it entails the SORTS/NetUSR part that dovetails with AR220-1. I'd further crawl out in a limb that it walks you through preparing the USR at unit level. Crawling further out on that limb, I'd assume you just won the responsibility of preparing USR. Further, I'm thinking what you can do with it is prepare the USR every month.

If you are lucky, the parent HQ will come and teach you how to,prepare the monthly unit briefings. Preparation of the top 10. What makes the cut and what doesn't. Parallels between assigned mission and doctrinal mission. The personnel portion at unit level is punctuated by non-deployables (Flags, Bars, Pregnant, Profiles, MEBs etc).

Is this an ATTRS Course or local?

In my day it was 1- how to fill it out, 2 what was included in it, 3 what the ratings mean. Sine it is used to compile not only your unit but all the units in the service- a lot hangs on the status report- and lots of higher CO's watch it like a hawk!
