This is across the board, campaign financing, House and Senate term limits, border control, Legalizing certain drugs, prison sentance limits or hard labor camps...drilling for oil, or looking for alternative energy platforms, this US forum is your oyster.
State what you perceive as a problem, and then suggest your solution.

I'd like to see some suggestions on Universal Healthcare, while I think it is a great idea, I don't know how it should be initiated or paid for.

My second problem is Senators with a golden fleece retirement plan...yank it's too expensive. Also, we need term limits identical to the President, eight years and you are gone...I'd be okay with taking a term off and being able to come back ...but Senators become dead weight if not held accountable.

My thoughts of term limits is for Congressmen 8 years as that is four terms and in line with the President. In the Senate you limited to 12 years which is two terms and again in line with the President.

SSG. I agree with the term limits for Senators and Congressman. No prove but how does the politician get millions on a salary of $174000? How did Hillary make $100000 on a $9000 investment? Our government needs a lot more truth and a lot less crooked deals.

My biggest wish is for people to stop complaining about it on Facebook, and to actively do something about it.

Everyone in the military have sacrificed in the name of something bigger than ourselves. Some have paid the ultimate price. For people to see that something is broken, yet not have the intestinal fortitude to do anything about it and just relentlessly complain and argue about it is insulting and serves no purpose.

I'm not saying we need a nation of activists, but if you see a problem DO something about it, don't just TALK about it.

@SSG Michael LoGiudice, I think the ACA was a horrible plan. There is one thing that keeps pricing low, and that is competition. If the Congress was serious about dropping health care cost all they would have had to do would be to write, implement and enforce one regulation: Portability.

Auto insurance is the biggest example of that. There is no national law mandating auto insurance. Every State has a law though (as it should be; no power given to the FED is expressly left to the states). Auto Insurance is portable, not monopolized by region by 1 or two companies. I have two cars, 1 adult and one teenage driver (and another one going to drive next year) and my full coverage auto insurance is barely at $200/month.

This would cause competition in the healthcare insurance industry. They would contract services with health care providers and the best price on those services would win.

I'll think about the other topics, but that's my two cents for now.

CPT (Join to see) the healthcare special interest are a big driving factor in how ACA was written. I know my last PCP did not like it at all but he like the rest of America had very little say in the wording or implementation.

@SGT Jim Zajc I'm just saying, if I were king for a day, I wouldn't even go to Congress and have them write a law. I would implement through the Dept of Commerce. No law is needed. Health care special interests could go pound sand!

And Rally Point, I want my points. I'm mentioning people and not getting the credit!!! How can I be expected to catch Capt (Join to see) if I'm not getting all my points!!!! :-)
