When the onset of gear that actually makes sense like the Plate Carrier and TAPS system that the Army issued to troops deploying to Afghanistan, do you think that the trend will continue? Will the military continue to design and issue gear that makes sense, or do you think that we will go back to strictly using miniture EOD Bomb suits such as the IOTV with all of its fun and quirky attachments.

I would imagine itll take several years in a new theatre to get gear that makes sense. How many years were in Afghanistan before plate carriers were issued out, like 6 or 7?

Hopefully the military will continue the trend of gear that makes sense. IOTV = MINATURE EOD BOMB SUITS great one ! I felt like Frankenstein's monster wearing IOTV !
