Fox News. You love 'em or you hate 'em. One thing that isn't in dispute is that seven of the top eight rated shows in cable news are on Fox News. The one that isn't is the Daily Show on Comedy Central which arguably may not even belong in the category.

So, do more conservatives watch the news? Are liberals too busy down at the Occupy rally to watch the news? Is this proof of Hillary Clinton's "vast, right-wing conspiracy?" If Fox News is as bad as people say they are, then how do you explain their consistently high ratings?

Just as many liberals as conservatives watch Fox news. That's why the ratings are so high. Looking for something to hate.

I personally have given up on the media.

I think Fox, CNN, MSNBC ... All the big ones really ... have an agenda. Conservatives think MSNBC is the most biased; Liberals think Fox.

I suspect Fox is popular because they're informative, entertaining, and in line ideologically with a LOT of people.

That's my take.

The existence of an agenda probably is a given. The question is "what is the agenda?" Can we be objective enough to identify it when it exists, or admit it when we do identify it?
