I'm having trouble getting Back into active duty from the IRR, so I've decided AGR recruiting is the next step. I know where I need to start but I want to know If there are positions for AGR recruiting or normal AGR in Katterback or Illesheim. My wife is an active duty 15R and can only be stationed in Germany in those areas. We intend to live in Germany with the Army again, but since active duty might not be an option I'm looking into it.

Hey everyone. Appreciate the information! I’m back in the Army, now reserves, and or will be in one week time. I’m now in a 30 slot so I’m on the fast track to getting my SSG I’m gunning for retention

Good job. You're probably on the right track, trying to get on in the Recruiting field. There may be some non-AGR slots for recruiting and retention personnel, but once you're on board just ask around. I'm sure you'll find recruiting/retention people to be helpful since the Army Reserve is understrength, and seems to always need Personnel.

They should have Reserve Component Career Counselors assigned there who are AGR. But their tour is 3 years, so there might not be an opening. Plus, I'm not sure they accept E5 for the position.

They don’t accept E5 for the retention/career counselor job but I’m not to worried because I’m filling a 30 slot so I should be looking at ncoes soon

At one point there were a few In Service Recruiters (ISR) in Germany, but as I recall those had already done their time on the street.
