Planet Fitness, Transgenders, and changes in Army Policy

Let's start this off with a quote from our Constitution that we have sworn to uphold and defend:
"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Many of you have likely heard the story in the news about a woman being kicked out of Planet Fitness for being judgmental due to a transgender woman (pre-OP) was using the female locker room.
Davenport, a transgender activist, states in the article that the female in question had a legitimate argument as did the transgender woman. She also suggested that having individual changing rooms would go a long way to rectifying this issue, and also hopefully to cut down on possible sexual assaults from males attempting to abuse this situation.
As someone who is Libertarian minded I want all people to be treated equally and I see an unequal situation being portrayed here. If Planet Fitness has in their established policy that anyone should be respected for their transgender identity, then they have a requirement to make those people feel welcome, and also those members who may not accept it.
I have seen the arguments on each side that say things in the realm of "This tranny shit is unnatural" and "This person was born a man and is a man period" as well as "This is where things are going and people just need to tolerate it or get the hell out".
Neither of these approaches is right in my opinion and we should be trying to find methods that work with all peoples and all views, but intolerance breeds more intolerance. This is obviously an issue that will be brought forth within the military, whether for the good or ill of readiness or the mission. How do we deal with this properly?

I think it's only reasonable:
Male parts- Men's locker room
Female parts- Women's locker room
Feel uncomfortable undressing in front of other people with similar parts? Use a damn stall.
Planet Fitness can do what they want. If they want to provide a separate area for pre-ops, kudos. In my opinion, it would be a token gesture demonstrating their "tolerance".
"Planet Fitness is committed to creating a non-intimidating, welcoming environment for our members. Our gender identity non-discrimination policy states that members and guests may use all gym facilities based on their sincere self-reported gender identity."
Sincere, huh? Most Americans can't even distinguish between the words "sex" and "gender" yet. How in the world would this fit into a business plan without sounding ridiculous?

Sex and Gender are two different things. Your sex should determine what bathroom you use!

Here is an article that highlights what it really looks like when a transgender uses their "sex" bathroom. I'd rather this "dude" use the men's' room. Moreover, when it comes to locker rooms I don't spend my time looking at others genitalia. While deployed, I spent time on French FOBs, and there the bathrooms were coed.

This is also about trying to find a solution, something you may run into soon as a leader and have to deal with.

CPT Zachary Brooks, The system we had worked. It’s not possible to make everyone happy. Some people just need to play with the hand life deals them. Tolerance, intolerance and offended are three words that are bringing down our society. We need to quit being a bunch of feminized, overly offended pussies. Was it right to accommodate black service members? Changes had to be made. What is right to accommodate women? Changes had to be made. Was it right to accommodate gays? Changes had to be made. Just because change is hard doesn't mean we try to avoid it. We are the best military in the world. We are the best country in the world. We should act like it. Soldiers are the most important thing we have, and I as a leader support changes that make life better for them. I want them to be honest with me about their life and their families. I want them to feel they can trust me and that I will do what is right for them. I don't pretend to understand everyone else. The only thing I can control is how I respond. I choose to be accepting and accommodating.

I know I am getting old. I have a problem with just being able to say I identify as a woman and therefore I am entitled to use the women's facilities. Just saying I am a (anything) does not make me one.
That said, if a person does feel so much like he/she is actually a she/he and goes through the process of actually changing his/her gender I think the resulting person should then be considered the new gender. Until then the use of the opposite facility is , to me, a distinct invasion of the privacy of the other people using the facility.
So, hence forth I am going identify as a millionaire and I expect you all to treat me as such.

Everyone has a right to believe or practice whatever they want. However when it interferes with someone's liberty or dignity it's wrong or public decency it's wrong. A dude in a dress is no more a woman than a woman dressed up like a man a man. Simple if you have male parts go to the men's room same thing with ladies go to the ladies room. I am so sick of these people forcing their agenda and identity crisis down everyone's throat now they are trying to invade the restroom.

Most transgendered individuals do go through the process of changing by taking hormones and adjusting their appearance to match what they perceive is their true identity. It is worth researching. I did, because at first I didn't really understand much about it. For a person to choose to change their entire identity causes them to lose a lot of the functionality of their sex organ. So if they switch from female to male, it'll look right, but it won't work right in all aspects. Just imagine how difficult of a decision that must be for a human being.
