I was reading a post by Stolen Valor on FB where a person had their dads old uniform on and got a free cup of coffee. Obviously what he did was wrong, that's not the debate. The debate is he received a lot of death threats. I think that while it was offensive in the extreme, I don't feel threatening his life is appropriate.

I agree with you, LCpl Mark Lefler. You know the old saying: "Two wrongs don't make a right." I think that applies here. Sure, wearing his father's uniform was wrong, but death threats? Did the guy get defensive and try to defend his actions? If he did, then I could see it ramping up to a nasty exchange. Still, death threats are a bridge too far for me.
