Yes. It would be a violation of the SCRA for you to be denied employment based on membership in the NG.

Yes. you would need to make your unit aware of any time you would need to spend away from drill due to academy. One of the LtCols in my unit works for FBI.

Academy is only for Agents. 45% or so of FBI jobs are professional staff and the training is 2 weeks. Intel Analysts are a bit longer.

Absolutely! After my last deployment I was hired by the FBI. Since then I have retired from both the Reserve and the FBI. Great job, great organization! I had some difficulty explaining and getting military leave for drills and AT, because there hadn't been anyone working in the office who was in the Guard or Reserve for a looong time, and they didn't know how to do certain forms. After we figured that out, it was easy.
One warning, don't go in there all Hooah. The FBI has its own culture. Sit back and learn.
