I have a slow yes for you, SSG. There is a Microsoft Home Use program that, by verifying your .mil mail account, you qualify to buy office for about $9.95. I just used it to install on my new PC last month. Here's the link:

Put in your work email and country, then indicate you don't know your program code.
Microsoft will send you and email to your .mil with further instructions/code.
Hope it helps... Otherwise the PX usually sell Military Appreciation packages for about $80.

You can't beat MS Office for $10. That and the home use program for anti-virus is a great deal for active duty members.

I downloaded windows way back in the day, and I still use the anti virus. But like yourself I have not seen windows office since. That was an awesome deal!
