I need help locating my medical records. VA states that they are lost. I have sent fax requests to HR requesting them. What should I do?

At this point there is not much you can do. unless your unit has backup copies somewhere. When I transferred to the Reserves they "lost" my medical records for nearly 18 months and then one day they just mysteriously reappeared on the S1 NCOIC's desk while she was out to lunch.

If you have been out less than 5 years, I would call the servicing MTF or Aid Station to see if they are still there. I can't tell anything from your profile to help like if you were AD or RC, or where you served, or when you served as your records would all be electronic f you served in the last 10 years.

SPC Ayesha Arline I would inquire at the MTF and any clinics you went to there

No Sir, I wasn’t even aware that such a thing existed. I never heard of filing a claim until many years after my service and then when I filed I was denied and advised that my medical records were unable to be located.LTC Jason Mackay
