I was Honorably Discharged March 2010, and would like to re-enlist. My question is I was in a bad accident and lost 90% of my teeth, No psychical problems besides that. Would this be a problem, and would I have to get them fixed prior to joining? Thanks!

As a former recruiter, I can tell you that you have to go through the MEPS process again and YES it's a possibility that you could not be medically qualified because of your teeth. Now a days it is almost 99% impossible to get back in to Active duty however the Reserves has an extremely push for prior services veterans to join their ranks! The only way to know is by talking to a local recruiter. Good luck and hope everything works out.

CW2 Ben Chacon, I have seen an individual who had no teeth for the past 10 years in the guard and reserve. Active duty, that is a completely different ball game. The CSM would question all day why this individual did not have dentures or a continuous plan of care. He would have to get the work done before re-entering active duty.

Thanks guys for all the replies, I will be talking to a local recruiter. That will be the first step, then I have to talk with my daughter mother to discuss a possible year round routine with my little girl. Unless it's reserves, I would volunteer for every deployment though.
