I am soft slotted to PCS to Fort Huachuca as an Instructor pending my sons EFMP screening. The local EFMP office to me is saying there should not be an issue with the screening as it is written up to say he only receives services from the school. He has an IEP which can transfer to any public US school. Huachuca's EFMP office reached out to me on Tuesday requesting clarification as to what type of services he needs. This is all laid out clear as day in his EFMP enrollment documents. Tripler EFMP is saying there should be no issue and will reach out to them. My branch is getting irritated with how long this is taking as its been 2 weeks since the initial request and i am 90 days out from DEROS. Branch can't do anything I.E. report date, change my DEROS, and i can not FSTE without a report date.

Anybody been in this situation before? My EFMP screening to come to Hawaii took 2 days to complete...

Two weeks for EFMP is barely time for them to open your email. It sounds like the screening portion was completed long ago. EFMP is a black hole. Average time to process is one to two months. IEP EFMP usually go faster

I cannot comment to EFMP however I do Virtual Health for the Army and we do have pediatric development specialists that see patients via Virtual Health. Ft. Huachuca has virtual health capabilities for healthcare and if you like, you can shoot me an email via outlook.
