Since my husband will PCS 8 months before I do, will I leave with him or when my PCS date comes?

My husband and I are dual military (army) we are currently stationed in the same base, and are living in off post housing, he will be PCSing 8 months before my PCS date, will I follow him midway into my contract here? Or will I accompany him when my PCS date comes? I’m a rank higher then him but he is about to become the same rank as i in a month, and we both haven’t gotten projections or orders yet.

This sounds more like a Branch Manager type question. My initial instinct is to say that you will PCS when your date rolls around, but I have little experience with MACP Soldiers.

Your rank isn’t important.

How do you know you’re PCSing and when you’re PCSing if neither of you has received orders or assignment instructions

PFC (Join to see) your ETS date doesn’t affect when you can PCS, your time on station does. When your spouse requests a location through reenlistment you will be placed on assignment with him and you two will PCS together

PFC (Join to see) - reenlist at the same time to match your ETS dates. Then if you request the same station at reenlistment it's likely you'll go together.
They'll try to keep you together but there's no guarantees.

PFC (Join to see) you will be placed on assignment at the same time as your husband. At that point you will have to reenlist to take the assignment. You and your spouse can reenlist together. You will not get a choice of reenlistment options, in fact you will probably only need to extend a few months depending on your report date.
