This Cardinals team is special - and not just because they are my team. Way to go, sir!

This is awesome. I am a lifetime Cardinals fan. The fact that they took a chance on Harris and he is contributing is great.

I just wish I could make the game tonight. I'm only 1 hour & 45ish minutes away (depending on how traffic is flowing),, but getting time off work is like drawing blood from a turnip.

This is awesome!!!

In my opinion, LT Harris is an awesome example of someone who did not give up on his dream, honored his commitment to our country, and worked hard to get to where he is. I hope other professional sports organizations take a page from the Cardinals, and Seahawks for that matter, book and not be afraid to look for talent at the military academies, giving guys who can play an opportunity after they fulfill their commitment. Since there is so much money on the line, no team could afford to give a spot to someone who can't perform, but most of the time, all these athletes want is a chance.

I just hope the Redbirds start calling him "Admiral" - in homage to David Robinson!! lol

To be fair, I hope he's never with the "Redbirds" again, as the Memphis Redbirds are the AAA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, where he started this season. ;) I totally agree with you, as I think he would be a great influence. However, MLB being what it is, and LT Harris being a middle-inning relief pitcher, odds are likely his influence will not spread as far as David Robinson's. There is always the possibility he continues to improve and can form himself into a closer (optimal for "name recognition", or a #4 or #5 starter. TBH, if he were "Ace" material there'd be more of a buzz. That said, I'll be a fan of his for the length of his career.

I think he'll be w/ the big club for some time. He is a great bolster for the pen. They can't count on Garcia being healthy for longer than a month...lol
