Things no one told you about before you purchased your first house...

Was there anytime after you purchased you first home that you thought, " No one told me I had to do this!!.." I just recently purchased my first home and it has been a never ending list of things I need to do and want to do to make it truly my home. I started by ripping all the carpet out, that I fixed our table to match the new living room. Today I found myself outside scrubbing the driveway with Dawn soap and a broom after we brought our truck home from the mechanics and they forgot to tighten the bolts down on the transmission. Roughly 6 QT's of transmission fluid leaked all over my driveway. Anyone out there have the same never ending chore list? Stuff you never thought about until they handed you the keys?
