Frank murray
Back in the '80s I was a Sr. Computer Scientist at the Ridley Mission Control Center at Edwards Air Force Base.

It was my honor and pleasure to work with one LtCol Frank Murray (ret).

Frank was a retired CIA SR-71 pilot and had stories to tell about flying out of Kadena Air Base that curled your hair and blew your mind! He could not speak to any details or specifications but he was definitely a one-of-a-kind pilot.

I was discussing him with a friend at the VFW and thought that given the declassified nature of those missions now days there might be something.
And there sure is!
Tales of CIA flight ops out of Groom lake and Area 51 no less!
So here is my chance to share some of Frank's life that he was never allowed to really talk about "back in the day"

For your enjoyment...

Impressive story. Funny thing is that I was stationed at Kadena from 2007 to 2010. Great memories. Thank you very much for sharing, Jan!
