Good evening gentleman. I have submitted a DD 368 form recently, but got it returned without action due to an error on one of the sections. Im ready to re submit the new form and wanted to know if anyone knows how long will it take for the form to get signed and returned, since the first one got returned in 5 days. Has anyone had or been in this situation? I am currently in the IRR and am trying to switch branches (Army to CG) to go Reserves, I don't know if the time would be different since I'm not active duty or reserve.

Since you are in the IRR it should go strait to HRC. This could be good or bad, good that there are not multiple commands along the way but bad because I haven't seen many IRR actions get processed quickly. Based on historical data, a regular TPU packet takes about 3-4 months, but a lot of that time is due to return for correction and the multiple levels of command it has to go through.
Per the PAG (personnel action guide): 1. Soldier submits DD Form 368 completed thru Item 4 and completed DA Form 4187 with justification. Unit submits thru Chain of CMD to GOCOM CDR (MSC) for final approval. 2. If approved, the DD Form 368 is returned to Soldier to take to recruiter.
Go you have a good POC at HRC that responds to you?

Unfortunately, I do not have a POC as of right now Major, what I do have is email from IRR and I recently contacted them but haven't gotten any response as it's only been 3 days since I sent them an email.

I’ve done three conditional releases and they were all handled by the recruiter. Have you been in touch with a Coast Guard recruiter? They should be able to handle the paperwork properly.

SPC (Join to see) - My apologies, when you mentioned you were ready to submit I thought you were trying to handle it all. Good luck on your transfer.
