Unit is not allowing TCA mission I supported to award me SSI.
AR 670-1 states on SSI/ (d) When echelons below company level (such as teams or squads) deploy, members of these units will wear the SSI of the lowest echelon deployed Army unit (company or higher) in the deployed chain of command (based on written orders) as the SSI–MOHC. When there is no intermediate unit (company or higher) in the deployed chain of command, these deployed Soldiers will wear the SSI of the senior command in the theater as its SSI–MOHC. (e) Individual Soldiers who are attached (to include OPCON, cross-leveled, assigned, or augmenting deployed units) will wear the same SSI–MOHC worn by members of the deployed Army unit (company or higher) to which attached by written orders.
Exceptions/My mission--
(16) Operation Inherent Resolve: between 15 June 2014 and a date to be determined, for Soldiers deployed to Iraq, Jordan, or Syria in support of OIR, who received combat zone tax exclusion and hostile fire/IDP as identified by USCENTCOM Command Center–Joint Staff for Personnel and Administration. Soldiers who were deployed in the area of operations on training exercises or in support of operations other than OIR are not authorized the SSI–MOHC, unless those exercises or operations became combat or support missions to OIR.
I was assigned to a Task Force under SOCCENT in support of OIR. My written orders though, don't specify anything except that I was assigned to Jordan. No dates and no specification on the actual mission I supported. Upon leaving, I was given an MFR stating I was awarded SSI for SOCOM under OIR. The parent unit came back and said it's all invalid. The same unit though, awarded all the soldiers their unit patch that don't have 'written orders' specifying neither Jordan, Syria or Iraq. They simply sent them on 'turn and burns' to get a patch but all those soldiers have Kuwait on their written orders (sensing double standard here).

Can I get the 'Jordan' Order amended to specify the operation I was in support of?
Wouldn't then my award given to me by SOCCENT and OIR be considered invalid too?
Wouldn't All the soldiers without Jordan, Iraq, Syria etc., written on their orders be subject to stolen valor since their orders say 'Kuwait' ?

Your SSI memo is all the authorization you need. It's signed by the approving commander and authorized in AR 670-1. Unless your unit command out ranks the General who signed AR 670-1 they don't have the authority to decide what is or is not authorized.

If "they", whomever they are, threaten you with stolen Valor just laugh in their face and tell them you will see them at the Court martial

SFC Ryan R. the point is that their threats are not based on regulation. The regulations support that SFCs authorization to wear the SSI. If the Soldiers command wishes to push UCMJ, the Soldier requests a Court Martial. JAG or the Judge Advocate reviews the case and sees that there is no basis for the UCMJ and throws out the case.

If a Soldier knows they are not guilty, in this case misrepresenting awards, they best choice is to choose a court martial over an article 15 so that they can prove it

Also, it's not "career" counselor. It's an actual MOS, "career" is not in air quotes

SFC (Join to see) The "career" could be used in the same manner of "NCO". Yes, it is that MOS but if the person isn't acting like it. Same as someone who is an NCO but isn't acting like one. I agree with everything else.

"Stolen valor" requires you to profit financially off of the claiming or wearing of an award. This doesn't sound remotely qualifying...

It's not stolen valor, it's Article 106a, and it's just one more thing that it sounds like this unit is NOT reading.

I don't have anything written for any of my patches. Save the memo you have and have your next units S1 submit it to iPERMS.
