Can someone receive PCS orders to PCS to the current they part of?

So last week I received EPMD PCS projection it's in the same duty station, I figured I'm going to the tradoc side on this installation. Well this week I received pinpoint EPMD projection and it states I'm going to the current brigade I'm in. It seems odd. Petty much it's the same orders I got in 2019 that brought me to my current brigade. I have reached out to the branch manager and he said that usually individuals don't receive PCS orders to the same brigade they usually just get stabilize and for me to speak to my chain of command about an inter post transfer to the tradoc side and that it doesn't involve him. I've also asked my retention NCO and she has no idea why this would happen. Is there any advise/guidance anyone can give me on what to do. Also my YMAV has already been reset to my ETS, my projected to PCS is next yeah 10 June.

I think that my first stop, on Ft Sill would be at Corps G-1. Look and see who the issuing command of the orders are. If it is an on post within the brigade transfer, they went about it in an add way, so someone at the issuing headquarters knows about it.
It MIGHT be something pretty sweet, or it might have been your unit putting you on orders to keep you from getting put on orders.

Yeah it's very weird and odd to get orders to the same brigade that I'm currently in.

SSG Dennis Mendoza - The only thing that I can think of is that your current command was notified of an future PCS for you and they did not want to loose you. The may have put you on orders to prevent your branch from doing the same, but with a centralized HRC now I doubt that is it.
In any event, HRC would know, but consider that IF you like where you are and don't mind, or consider it a career detriment to remain there, the more questions you ask you pop on someone's radar and you might end up in a real shit hole.
Remember, it was true before I retired and I am sure that it is true today. The US Army is full of "Good Idea Fairies" and them little bastards need to be put out of our commission. I had just gotten a P-3 profile for a busted back, was on a NO OCONUS travel restriction from my doctors and was trying to process my normal retirement when the Good Idea Fairy that was my NCO at Infantry Branch took a great notion that I should do my last year in Korea, after I had just come back from 27 months in Korea less than 5 years earlier. It was by the grace of God and the skin of my teeth that I did not have to do retirement out-processing in Korea, Republic of. I ran into the GIF at the Infantry Conference that year and he told me "If I don't have a singed Retirement request on my desk when I get back to my office you are going to Korea" So I opened my briefcase and handed them to him.

SSG Roger Ayscue you were right I ended up speaking to the BDE CSM with my BN CSM present. The opening to the CSM's statement was that he just had learn the particular reason why this is happening to me. I stood quiet and listened, but I immediately remembered that I had asked about this a few weeks prior. Well, I was told that because the ASK-EM marketplace algorithm noticed that 3 of my options were sill it might as well keep me in the same brigade. I told the CSM that I was expecting to receive a broadening assignment because I'm Key Development now (Career Developmental (CD) Stabilization) complete and SLC complete, bachelor's degree, done some training, that would possibly help. He told me that he was informed that I'm not competitive enough to my peers and I said I have orders to brigade that's when he said you're not going anywhere. I was honest and told him that I'm very unhappy with my current assignment and wanted to try something else and both CSM asked me why I didn't bring this up to my 1SG, I told them I don't trust him, which is true. Now they have me PCS-ing to the same exact battery I'm currently in and they have reset my YMAV. now I'll be stuck in this unit till I'm supposed to retire. Oh, another thing the CSM said that no one likes to leave their homes and go to Korea, but for me I rather go to the middle east than Korea and watch individuals get in trouble or fraternize. Of course, now a doctor is possibly going to recommend a med-board because they discovered my spine is all jacked up.
