I am a SGT(P) and have completed ALC phase 2 over a year and a half ago. I have been put in for common core over 3 times. Every time I got rejected a seat. I don't think it's fair that due to some nco's not doing the required training that us junior NCO's should have to keep getting denied a seat.

SGT,

Believe it or not, this is not anything new, I remember many E5s being bumped from BNCOC slots years ago because there were E6s and even some E7s that needed the course but hadn't yet gone, during the early years of OEF and OIF it happened quite often and then the unit of those same Soldiers would be up to deploy and the SMs would get pulled at the last moment leaving a now vacant seat that the schoolhouses felt was too late to fill.

I know it is frustrating but your time will come, you have to maintain that patience. Good luck and keep the faith.

SSD-II is back and online, so maybe your prayers have been answered.

Well good for you, sorry this couldn't of been your saving grace. I myself am trying everything in my power to get to ALC. I would be SSG right now if I had ALC it would of gave me enough points for the last three months.

Ive been told the same thing.  They are so back logged its not even funny.  And its not fair for the E5 and E5 (P) who are trying to advance.  They should have left SSD-II alone.
