House lawmakers Wednesday strongly rejected a proposal to rapidly withdraw all U.S. troops from Iraq, a move supporters say was designed to force public debate on America's 10 months of unauthorized military operations against Islamic militants in the region.

A U.S. COL "helps" an Iraqi remove wrapping from a rifle? Can you imagine CSM me helping an Iraqi or any trainee unwrap a rifle?

CSM Charles Hayden, if they don't know how to unwrap a weapon, I'm not going to show them. If they're that lazy or ignorant, they don't need a weapon.

Take the Bill back to Committee and get the language to match and coorespond with the needs of the American people.
Some may say that AUMF Public Law is the key to balance out the Bills language and some say Congress needs to step up and take responsibility of representing the American people. Some also say that the US President should not have supreme power ...
What can Americans afford these days? Gas going up to $4/gal...milk headed to $7/gal and student loans, housing, and jobs have a short life cycle... Nevada has a 14% occupancy tax, so is this the Bills trend toward fruition...taxing the American taxpayer to an unrealistic cap whereby the American dream is only a dream...
America needs more veterans in Congress.

I think the House bill was the wrong way attempt to do the right thing.
I think a clear course of action needs to be laid out, implemented, and executed with a high degree of military violence of action.
I think this piecemeal approach is ineffective, shows no commitment to actually destroy the enemy; and ultimately undermines public support and trust.
This is an example of the politicians being afraid to do what NEEDS to be done, for fear of losing political power. Just my opinion though.

I get that, however, I believe that a total military solution is not the end all ...cure all. There needs to be a diplomacy frontal as well. Unfortunately, the civilians doing their diplomatic actions are not educated or have experience in military culture and fail to communicate to Americans nationally and globally. Our US Diplomat Corps does a good job with systemic organizational culture but fall short with change of dissent. We need veterans in the political and diplomatic system to create change; hence become change agents in high risk environments juxtaposition with the military. There needs to be language of balance and common vision.
