As a 12B going to E-EOCA you need to be on your game. There is a large fail rate for this course due to the math and people just not taking it seriously. Being E-EOCA qualified is a big deal for a sapper team or a RCP. Make sure you understand your calculations and MDI systems. Also you need to understand IEDs to a pin point. But above all... hopefully you are a team leader as well... plan to be with a lot of tenured NCOs. You also need a clear understanding of NEW and how to figure blast radious. It's a very short class with a ton of information packed in. Take it seriously and you'll do fine.

SGT,
Thank you, currently I am a TL and my company is a SAPPER company. However everytime we have ever done a demo lane. Our PSG basically does all the calculations and we just hook up the ignition system. Does Army Pubs have any other resources?

SPC (Join to see) first off that is shitty for your PSG to do.. look up demo cards and search out the resources on Leonard Woods website for tradoc. Look up FM 3.34 and study it. Focus on training for mobility and convoy ops as that is the most notable task for E-EOCA. Hope that helps

SSG (Join to see) - I agree with you on that one. In theory, the PSG isn't Operations and those calculations should be done by the squad assigned. I would expect that anyone TL and above to able to work with explosives without supervision. A squad gets called to do these task in the real world doesn't always have backup.

SPC (Join to see) you tube has so much information. Your PSG is doing all of you a disservice bye not teaching you how to figure the charges. What if he is the first man down?.

That's a new one for me. Never heard of this course. But, I edited your tags to add EEOCA. Hopefully someone that follows that group can assist you.
