What is some good advice for new LTs prior to arriving at their first duty station?

I am a few months away from my PCS date to my new duty location. I am currently in the UH-60M course and was looking for advice as a new LT showing up to my first aviation unit. Aviation specific advice would be preferred, but general advice for a new LT is welcome also. I want to be able to show up prepared and professional.
Some advice I have already received:
1. Show up proficient on 5's and 9's
2. Reach out to my commander prior to arriving
3. Be ready to help in whatever capacity I am needed even if that means working in staff.

Figure out who your true Subject Matter Experts are and enable them do their job. Remove roadblocks, find solutions, collaborate with your people when appropriate but don't forget that you are there to make the tough decisions.
Remember, there is a reason most new officers are paired with a senior NCO. I hope you get a good one.

I surprised that no one said anything about calling on your CO's quarters at first opportunity. Leave one card in the tray for each adult member of CO's household. Also, when dining and not sure what utensil to use, watch the hostess. I blew that question on my couth course test in ROTC.
