I am about to turn 30 years old with a bachelors degree in International Security. I would really like to know if joining the Army in one of these MOS's would be worth it as far as work/investigative experience.

If you have your degree is there a reason you are looking at enlisting rather than commissioning?

SFC Casey O'Mally thank you for taking the time to share your thought. Yes, the reason is that I am interested in intelligence. I've heard that becoming an intelligence officer is very competitive in which you have to graduate top 5% in your OCS class to MAYBE have a chance. Even if I am chosen to become an officer, I am not sure I'd want to be a supply officer or some other kind.

Anthony Oriol Perfectly valid. I always have to ask.

Now that we have that established...

As a 35M, I have to say 35Ms are better.

But it really depends on you. Do you want to focus on what the bad guys are doing to attack? Or on what they are doing to collect? Both are important. They use similar skillets.

35M has a higher chance of being tactical, 35L has a higher chance of being strategic. But both have good chances of either.

Had a friend that as Spec4 was a CIC Agent. Wore civies, had an unmarked Ford Maverick and a Colt Cobra for defense. Hung out on Hay Street in Fayettenam, in the evenings, listening in the bars for SAEDA. He loved the job.
