Just wondering, by any Army regulation am I required to be in a text messaging group chat?

I've been searching and I'm unable to find anything. Earlier this morning I had differences with another SSG, for the pass few months i have been away from group chats and prefer direct text messages. This young SSG didn't like that and now he went and told on me that I'm not compliant.

No, but it is really more of a unit issue. I am in countless group chats. I have found it is good to use a group chat to provide mutual understandings but if I need to be direct then I will a direct message.
