I picked up this article from FPRI and found it to be interesting. The key to defeating Daesh is to counter and defeat it's ideology.

This article is spot on. We're fighting a cult, and we need to respond accordingly. We need to work with NGOs and other other civilian agencies to counter extremism.

It is easier to change ideology when we have their cities leveled and we have our boots on their necks to see if they are willing to breath and surrender.
