I re-enlisted for 3 years at Fort Riley, but after some consideration I'd like to stabilize at Drum. If I can awesome, if I can't awesome. Just swing if I have the ability to.

Here's how that works:
What you're asking for is called a VAL/RENO meaning Validation of assignment or Renegotiation of option. What you're asking is to change your Reenlistment Option from Duty Station of Choice to Stabilization. Depending on how long you reenlisted that could be from one to two years. However, to request a VALRENO there has to be a valid reason - as in, the contract could not be fulfilled. You've signed contracts for internet and phone so you understand that you can't just renegotiate it. Unless something prevents you from PCSing, like your family didn't get approved for movement by efmp, then you don't havr a valid reason to renegotiate. The Army met its end of the bargain.

However, you want to stay where you're at and you are not OCONUS. You can still waive your reenlistment option and remain at your post until your branch manager decides to move you. You won't be guaranteed stabilization, but you'll probably stay until your new YMAV date. The process is very easy, a 4187 signed by your company commander and a memo signed by you. But you have to go to your Career Counselor to do it.
