The VA does not provide health care or disability compensation for 'exposure' - they only provide those for service connected injuries or illnesses. If you don't have an injury or illness, then enjoy your health!!!! If at a later point you develop something that can be tied back to your service, then at that point the VA will proceed with benefits you're eligible for.

Do you have an illness or injury from your time in the service? If you believe that you might have some conditions tied to DU exposure, read through the webpage* at the VA detailing possible exposure and health issues.

MSgt (Join to see) - One of the individuals that did another post stated that the VA recently sent out an email blast - that's what's likely causing the huge uptick in the last few days.

Presumptive just means if you have certain conditions, such as certain cancers that are prevalent in people who were at those locations, then the VA automatically presumes it was service connected. You no longer have to struggle to prove your lung cancer is connected to burn pits.

Reach out to a service officer from DAV or VFW for help with a claim
