We have many allies in our fight against extremism and terrorism, but some seem more committed than others. Britain has long been one of the most invested.

Do we have a lopsided relationship with other allies?

Our allies in the Gulf states - Saudi Arabia, Kuwait,Bahrain are deeply committed. So are Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey. Those countries are suffering way more from terrorism than we are. Everyday there are attacks in markets, mosques and elsewhere. Hundreds of Muslims have been murdered by terrorists who seek to destabilize the region. The Saudis are fighting the Houthi in Yemen with "boots on the ground." The Jordanians watched one of their F-16 pilots get burned alive - they are fully committed against ISIS. This is a global problem. Even the duplicitous Pakistanis are starting to wake up. We don't see this on American TV, but it's happening.

Very valid point and I think you're right about those in the thick of it. It's a tough nut to crack but we've got to work together.

Great Britain seems to finally be fed up on the home front. Not sure how they'll counter the threat. Everyone else seems to be meekly biding their time. The current "war", if you can call it that, is kindof like a chick fight; the arms are flailing but the head is turned and the eyes are closed. Time will tell I guess. We don't seem to be doing anything other than turning the other, other, other cheek... Just my opinion.

Loved the visual of your comment about a chick fight haha.

I agree that I think we need a little focus on this compared to how we've been. I intentionally didn't use the term "war on terror" and not because the president said we aren't in one but rather because our actions haven't been focused enough for me to call it war.

LCDR (Join to see), first, I fancy myself a bit of a cerebral smartass! Sometimes things go over folks' heads but in this case I think I stayed right on the line of funny. If I do say so myself. LOL
And B, I purposely said "war" in a slighted tone since, as I also don't feel we have committed any substantial effort. That part isn't funny...
