SPC Taryn Silva are you happy now? He would have been a great President, but you went and jinxed it. Now we got a guy that couldn't get a "Depends" commercial right.

I'm Neither Left, Nor Right,
Republican Not Democrat.
I AM However "Anti-Trump"
I've Never Cared Much For Draft Dodgers,
Nor Anyone Whom Constantly Lies.
And As For HIS Being Our "Commander-In-Chief Of All American Forces",
Would You Feel Comfortable Following HIM Into Combat....
Especially Knowing, As You're Charging Forward,
He'd Be Walking Backwards?
NAW ~~ I'll Pass, I've Never Cared Much For Cowards Either.
And The Gods KNOW, They're NOT Wanted In Combat....
So PLEASE, Keep HIM Away From ME.

I really have no idea. Too many times in our history has a person rose to the Presidency and despite being seemingly unprepared to handle military matters turned out to be a really good Commander in Chief. The one that sticks out most in my mind is Lincoln. If you compared Lincoln with is counterpart Davis one would think that Davis would have been more effective. The reality was that Lincoln was a far better Commander in Chief than Davis could ever hope to be. The moral of the story is we never know until they assume the role.

Jefferson Davis had three things going against him:

1. He had a considerable fraction of his population held in involuntary servitude (slavery); this created an automatic 5th Column
2. His management style was rooted in 18th and 19th century concepts; he also depended on the Good Ol' Boy system
3. Davis suffered from the "I'm right" syndrome; his confidence was also his downfall, as well as the downfall of the Confederacy
