You can easily find VA accredited appeals lawyers doing a quick internet search. However, my first question is if you are handling the claim yourself or if you have a VSO helping you? If not, you may want to speak to them first as they can assist with a review and will cost nothing.

If you go the attorney route, make absolutely sure you ONLY use an accredited* attorney. Only VA accredited attorneys can represent you to the VA. Non-accredited ones are just giving you paid advice.

Research the attorneys near you (again, use the search site to find them) using Lawyer review sites such as Martindale-Hubbell, Avvo, lawyers.com, etc. just as you would likely do if you're looking for a new doc using healthgrades.com and other medical review sites.

Many of the accredited attorneys will review your claim for free, but keep in mind - caveat emptor. You need to absolutely have a clear understanding up front of fees, what they'll do to help with your claim, etc. BEFORE you sign anything.

Many veterans (not so much with accredited attorneys) have found out after the fact that the individual or organization did a few hours of work and then hit them with a five figure bill.

CORONAL CUDWORTH?
Sure Wish I'd Had That Information Over 20 Years Ago.
They Wanted Me To Fill Our SO Much Paperwork With Proof Of Information,
I Just Tossed In The Towel And Surrendered. ~~
And The Hell Of It IS: ALL The Information, 100% Of It, EVERY Bit; Is Right In Their Local Computer Medical Files At The Local VA Medical Center & Their Hospital.
Because It Was THEY Who Damned Nearly Killed ME ~ Literally, NOT Figuratively.
Through Many Years & A Massive Series Of Misdiagnoses, And Therefore, Of Course
The WRONG Medication .... And I'M The Loser For THEIR Mistakes..
And One Of The Treatments ~~ Ready?~~ Was For An Illness I Did NOT Even HAVE.
.Thanks VA, Without Your Assistance I Might Have Even Been Healthy.

Maj Alan Nolan follow COL Randall C. 's advice first. If you still need an "accredited" attorney... I have one you can talk to that I used. They only collect a fee...20% set by law... if they are successful. I believe they will only take your case if they believe they can be successful. Give me a shout if you need the Attorney's name & phone number.

Howdy, I appreciate the response. DAV is my advocate and have told me that there is nothing they can do once the claim enters the "review process" which is nothing but a black hole as far as I can tell. DAV can't help. VA is unresponsive and basically tells me the same thing i.e. nothing can be done once it is "in process".
I signed on with a contingency representative called Trajector Medical (contingency deal as you've mentioned). Again, nothing they can do regarding existing claims.
I might as well talk to your guys. Thanks for the offer.
