Take every opportunity to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with those who do not share your particular point of view on the topic. This way you don't end up with an audience who "knows what you meant to say", rather will take your message based on the words you choose.

Attend the Defense Information School if you can! Otherwise, read and write--often. Then you will communicate better orally too. Contact me for more detailed information....

Other than your traditional "Speech" classes at local colleges, not online, try "Toast Masters". You can Google it and find the local chapter in the Springs.

 

Also, do not miss an opportunity to go to Soldier of the Month boards and, when you get promoted, NCO of the Month.

I agree with the Toastmasters, though they can get a little pricey, paying for the manuals and such.
