What is your opinion of this statement?

I loved President Reagan and it is hard for anyone here to disagree with that sentiment.    Truth wasn't relative and values were not demonized as "your values".

I have always been taught that Government was to Protect not Provide. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way we started looking to Big Brother for handouts left and right.

I dont like getting into these conversations because everyone has an opinion. As a response to "running lives"i would have to ask just how much does the military run your life. What would we do without the so many things that the government do for the people. Without those things many would cry about what the government doesnt do or regulate. Before making claims one should really understand exactly what the govt does for the individual. Theres so much rhetoric that may have you formulate opinions that are not in your best interest.
