88M Assignments

I am currently stationed in Wiesbaden Germany. I am an SSG 88M and would really like to go to Ft Huachuca, AZ. Are there an SSG or SFC slots there? I am being told by branch no but I am hearing different from those I work with.

Go to Your ASK and see if there is anything for Ft. Huachuca and Branch Sucks one day one slot will be open the next nothing

Check the ATC website there is a nice assignments search in there, and ask your S1 to pull up the assignments.

the issue with these things is branch has priorities, and some of these assignments, DA has decided not to fill for one reason or another and only branch can see that information.

SSG Wagner, Fort Huachuca AZ as you know, is a Intelligence School-training base. For an SSG -SFC slot for an 88M (non-intel MOS, assuming that is still a "truck driver" MOS) would be hard to say if there was. I retired back in 2006, but suggest you to do some research to see if they have a transportation unit out there. If not, it does not look too good because Drill SGT's can drive the 5 ton's to transport their trainee's. Wish you luck, it is a beautiful base and area.

Ad of now ask or at c directs requistions. However, near future per t radoc n copd and town hall meetings soon he will use all previous assignments etc a as criteria... hence working outside your mos...

Logistics can't just be logistics.. battle space is needed etc to further your career
