How many watch "The Last Ship" on TNT?

I noticed some egregious uniform errors on the Season 2 finale. For instance, LT Green was wearing jump wings above his SWO pin, a no-no in the Navy. He also had his beard still. Even if he were a Seal, which he supposedly isn't, he shouldn't have a beard in dress uniform. And, why does he wear NWU2? I though NWU1 was the only shipboard authorized pattern...

SGT Jeremiah B.
I like the show and turn off my military criticism when it comes to minor details for entertainment in general...they always opt for cool over accurate.

That said, if the world was ending, I wouldn't shave either! haha

SGT Jeremiah B. I still criticize, but watch anyway. Like you, it is for my entertainment, and while I would rather they do it right, when they jack it up, I point it out to my wife, who rolls her eyes. Which causes me to grumble, and then it is back to the show.
And, as far as beards...yes to Facial Armor.

Good entertainment! For the first few episodes, I complained to the family about the issues as opposed to the real Navy, then became addicted to the show. Still laugh on occasion about the military errors, but still watch. Unless things have changed since I left, the last people I would expect to be hero's and combat experts would be sailors, with the notable exception of SEALs.

Since the world has basically ended I don't guess that too many of those left are really worried about uniform regulations.
