Exactly what has happened to this promise. The U.S. helps more country's than they help there own.

it is not wrong for America to help other nations, but what is wrong is that the politicians, every one of them, place the welfare of others before our own people.. As long as we can take care of our own, battle worn, injured and disabled veterans, and the rest of the nation, then go, be good neighbors and help the less fortunate countries..

Exactly. We give and give so much to other nations to influence this or that...but we fail our own so poorly.

It shouldn't come to having to make that decision. Both should be helped. One of our biggest issues as a society is making things counter each other when that's rarely the real choice to be made. This isn't an attack on you by the way, it's pretty normal thinking. I'm just saying we need to try to get out of that mindset and look at ways to solve problems instead of saying that if we do A, we can't do B, or that doing A is opposite of B. It's rarely that simple.

That's very true. We need to help where we can. I will agree there. But I believe we do need to take care of our vets first and foremost
