The important information is how long has this Soldier been in the Army? RCP is 14 years for a sergeant or sergeant promotable. If your buddy has any hopes of staying in the military, an evaluation of their job performance and potential must be examined. Has this NCO completed the requirements for promotion to Staff Sergeant, SSD, NCOES, and recommended positions for their MOS? This NCO should have been counselled by their first line supervisor on the steps they need to complete in order to be considered for promotion. Also, what are you looking for with the RCP question? Unfortunately, with the information given I can only speculate. Endstate is this NCO's only option for retention in the military past 14 years is promotion to staff sergeant.
