After commissioning through ROTC, will I be able to transfer from Army NG to active duty and keep the rank?

I am in the Army National Guard and on track to earn commision through ROTC but would like to go active duty. Will I be able to transfer and keep the rank?

SPC Private RallyPoint Member, I was also in the Army National Guard and commissioned active duty. Yes, you will be able to transfer components and your time in service will be creditable towards pay (as long as you did not sign a Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Contract for a bonus when you contracted with ROTC). if the commissioning source is ROTC yes. If the commissioning source is State OCS wont.

You are a Reserve Commissioned Officer and unfortunately there are no promises
