Any chance of re enlisting with an RE 3 med discharge? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/any-chance-of-re-enlisting-with-an-re-3-med-discharge <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When I was 18 was discharged for medical reasons. It was believed that I suffered a seizure well at basic and was diagnosed with epilepsy. I was rushed to the hospital where they did multiple tests and determined I had actually not suffered from a seizure, that it was a concussion and I was simply unconscious when they found me, but that I was fine. They told me to report to sickcall for an update later that week. So I was forced to go to sick call week after week because the drs there felt something was wrong with me. They diagnosed me with epilepsy and I was discharged. This all happend within he first 50 days of arriving at basic. sense then I have had multiple civilian drs give me different tests and all concluded I do not and never have had epilepsy. I know it will be challenging but I was wondering if it’s possible for me to re enlist. It had been 5 years sense the discharge date in October. You will need medical documentation showing the situation no longer exists - anything that you have from military docs that might show that you did not, in fact, have a seizure, will be greatly helpful to you. You will also need a KICKASS recruiter that will not run at the first sight of difficulty. I&#39;ve been going through this process for 18 years. With the correct documentation, they can upgrade your RE Code. I had mine changed from a RE4 to a RE1.
