I'm moving out to the Pentagon next Spring and I'm looking for a good place to live. Have grade school age kids. I've heard that Fort Belvoir is a good place, but don't know about the commute from there. Thoughts?Any recommendations for living in the DC area?2014-09-08T20:17:18-04:00COL Private RallyPoint Member233336<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Unfortunately, you can't be a Squadron Commander forever. I have several friends Army and Navy alike that live on or near Fort Belvoir, and they enjoy it. Hopefully your command will allow flexible work hours, many do so you can avoid the rush hours. My time at The Pentagon was one of the best tours I had.Response by SCPO Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 8 at 2014 8:25 PM2014-09-08T20:25:50-04:002014-09-08T20:25:50-04:00SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member240312<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I lived all over northern Va since i was 5.. no way around the traffic so thas not a factor in choosing an area..but right outside ft. belvoir is a nice little sub-city on the rise called kingstowne.. property value is going up with all the new construction..and its about 7 min from the metro starion in springfieldResponse by SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 14 at 2014 12:38 AM2014-09-14T00:38:44-04:002014-09-14T00:38:44-04:002014-09-08T20:17:18-04:00
