Recently Ive been hearing that coming into the workplace requires you to be in uniform no matter the reason. Is there a regulation that supports this, or is this something that can be company mandated? Are off duty soldiers required to be in uniform in the workplace? 2020-11-09T13:23:13-05:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 6482506 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Ive seen enlisted and officer alike come in to take care of certs, extra work, or grab items from the oroom on their off days/leave days. Your company commander could make it mandatory I believe Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 9 at 2020 1:25 PM 2020-11-09T13:25:30-05:00 2020-11-09T13:25:30-05:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 6482526 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Who did you hear it from? It is likely a company, BN, BDE policy. If you mean &quot;off time&quot; by after duty hours, yes they could tell you to come in uniform to come back in. On leave - why would they need you to come in during leave even local leave? <br /><br />It&#39;s up to the commander in the case you described from my time in. But who am I to ask, right? It’s all up to the command but for you are on an off duty status and you need to do quick run thru the orderly room I would not expect you to wear your Sunday’s best. This would make most people wait to turn in something that is really trivial such as a training cert until the next time they are on duty. I agree with most of the responses and this would be a policy not a regulation. Additionally how many people do you have off duty during the week? There is no Army policy. There may be a local policy which wouldn’t make a lot of sense as a one size fits all. There could be that requirment if you are doing an official walk through, or making a barracks check on a Soldier being monitored. Outside of that it is doubtful.
