Are there any 31B duty stations with more law enforcement road work than field work? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/are-there-any-31b-duty-stations-with-more-law-enforcement-road-work-than-field-work <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>For the Army Military Police, what Duty Station gives you more Law Enforcement duties than field work on average? If i where able to select these duty stations what are the odds of being assigned that duty station? I wouldn&#39;t mine if the Garrison cycles where all similar across the board, it&#39;s more of a preference. Meade, MD in The Military District of Washington, and it was 100% Road Work. We did some awesome Training, but there was no going to The Field. I have heard things have changed in The MDW, but I am not 100% sure. It would be the Area to look if an Area exists. FYI, this does not mean You do not PT before and/or after Shift work. I was also Black Boot Army at the time so You had to keep You Uniform Pressed and Boot mirror shiny. You still have the chase of being deployed from those bases but it is less likely than any other base. Working LE is great but you lose the edge on combat related skills especially in most of the TRADOC Law and Order Detachments. Having that balance surely sets you up as a leader of being knowledgeable on both fronts. Most of your FORSCOM units rotate being LE and Field if they are not on patch chart for deployment or rotation overseas. Some units are on rotations abs conduct LE as well as combat field cycles during rotation. Fort Myer was all Law enforcement with gate guard shifts mixed in. In 2014 the Fort Myer Military Police Company was merged with the Old Guards 289th MP detachment. It&#39;s road patrols and ceremonial work. I was also stationed in Heidelberg, Germany with the 529th MP CO, 95th MP Bn which was completely garrison. The 95th MP Bn was removed from active service and the companies were moved to the 18th MP Brigade. They often miss the field due to their primary missions being the road. If a unit is in a location that has a greater demand for road workers, then it is likely that said unit would need a rotational MP unit to cover down for them if they were to go to the field...Which is less likely to happen. for example if there are only 30 MPs at a moderately large garrison, that garrison cannot afford to send them all to the field at once.
