When I came to the US as a Draftee, some people in Ft Benning and in the State of Georgia, didn't know we PR's were Born US Citizens. So a few guys asked how come we got Drafted.

Same happened with the racial issue.
I know I'm white Hispanic, and blacks and I'm sure almost all whites saw me as such. But some lady of the Red Cross at Benning Hospital, checked me as "black", maybe with the intention to offend.
