MAJ Robert (Bob) Petrarca 282927 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As I sit here watching the news, every story seems to be nothing more than someone giving excuses and apologies on behalf of companies, government agencies or themselves for things gone wrong, mishaps, missteps and failures. Excuses and apologies for hospital mishaps in treating Ebola victims, excuses for the VA, apologies from politicians, etc. Shouldn&#39;t we be hearing solutions to the problems to bolster public confidence instead, or are there none? Are you tired of the news being nothing more than excuses and appologies for instead of solutions to problems? 2014-10-18T09:16:49-04:00 MAJ Robert (Bob) Petrarca 282927 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As I sit here watching the news, every story seems to be nothing more than someone giving excuses and apologies on behalf of companies, government agencies or themselves for things gone wrong, mishaps, missteps and failures. Nobody wants it any more and what&#39;s worse is that a growing portion society seems to just accept that and allow the accountability to be doffed. I probably wasn&#39;t a very good commander because I always wanted to know what contributed to a successful or failed mission. <br />What troubles me the most today are the bald faced lies that are being foisted upon us by those in authority. The best example that I can think of right at this moment is the assurances by the administration that our borders are under control. They aren&#39;t under control, they are so completely out of control that the leftist news media is even reporting it now. I was told to carefully seek out my own answers and don’t rely on mass media. That’s been engrained into me and today I could certainly appreciate why! No matter which side American news programs are shooting for, there is a HUGE bias, so we can’t rely on those “facts.” I started watching international news programs from overseas a few years back, namely WION from India, and I like it A LOT! I also try to read original sources, but that could get time consuming. Otherwise, I generally avoid the “news” as I know it will bias my opinion one way or another over time!
