I fall into the group of people that think golf is a perfectly pleasant walk ruined by a ball and a stick. I think waiting for water to boil or grass to grow is more interesting than golf.

But yeah... I understand those quotes and they are funny,

Some of those comments may have been proffered the two times I attempted to play golf. Both times I stopped at the ninth hole and continued my alcohol consumption in the a/c comfort of the bar.

Most of the time I don't pay too much attention to the comments, got the sound turned down. More fun playing golf than watching. This goes for many commentators on TV, I have heard great comments on other programs as well. These are great ones.
