Being Selected to go Active ?

I was just sent a form from higher (1058-R),I was selected to go on Active Duty for a certain amount of time,I filled out the form and sent it in, my question is if anyone went through a similar process and how long would it take for it to go through.Is it considered AGR or a whole different subject?

If this was for AGR, that would have meant you applied, interviewed and were selected to fill an AGR position and more likely have a rank of SPC or higher perhaps. More than likely you're being selected for a temporary position not related to AGR.

Active duty for special work may also be authorized to support study groups, training sites and exercises, short-term projects, and doing administrative or support functions. Also there's certain rules for how long you can be active duty for these special short tours.

The form means gibberish to me, does it say anything about being paid, counting as, etc as ADT(Active Duty, Training)? It just might mean that higher needs you to come in and do your job more than just M-Day status will allow

It would appear that someone with your particular set of skills is required at a location. Depending on what it is for and where, you could be on active status for 1 week, 1 month, or even 1 year. As for how long for the papers to process, not long since they are basically requesting you. Just have your bags packed and ready and sitting by your door. Where ever it is, good luck and have fun.

The form is a request for some type of ADSW (Additional Duty Special Work). The orders can be anywhere from 30 days to 1 year. I'm assuming your MOS is 92A? It is not AGR. Now if you do a good job it MAY open some doors for you to go AGR or Technician.
