I have read and studied the war in the Pacific a lot and of course I am a Marine and that was where most of the Marines were. The books the series was based upon were two of the best war books ever written (With the Old Breed by Eugene Sledge and Helmet for my Pillow by Robert Leckie).

I think Band of Brothers was incredible good as well. It would be a strong number 2 for me. I had a chance to go to Normandy, St Mere Eglise, Utah Beach and a few other spots around Normandy a few years ago.
