Can a soldier still PCS if they get flagged for height and weight?

Height & weight is a transferable flag so it should not matter during a PCS. Your command might try to tell you otherwise but look up the regulations

Yes you can PCS with a flag for HT/WT but the question is do you really want to do that? Always remember the type of impression you want to give your new command upon your arrival. Depending on the type of unit you’re PCSing to, Arriving with a flag may look bad for you and put a negative impression about you to your new unit. If possible do everything you can to meet your HT/WT standard prior to your PCS. Good luck to you...

Transferable flags include APFT, HT-WT, and routine phase flags.

Yes but it makes absolutely no sense. They should simply lose the weight forbhealth purposes. If they show up to a new unit flagged and overweight they are immediately seeing the 1SG/Commander in a negative note and being placed into programs immediately setting them aside from their peers. Why put up with that, lose the weight. Thank you for your service

Yes, however if the Soldier doesn't meet the SRR for the assignment and they are flagged for ABCP or APFT then they are unable to reenlist or extend to meet the time, and unable to PCS.

No such thing when I was in, but reading here on rally point, it appears that flags only affect something the soldier wants, ie favorable. So if the soldier wants to PCS, I should think that would be doing the SM a favor and be denied. If the SM wants to stay put, that would be unfavorable to move him/her, so that would be okie dokie.

I think so. It was reported that during the Gulf War, really a Chapter 7 Police Action and not a war, troops porked out to avoid being sent over there, particularly Reservists. Big Army said that can't be and made it okie dokie to PCS regardless of how short and fat you are.
