You can, but make sure that you are in the correct uniform. We do it for PT sometimes at my neighborhood.

I do, off base, and out of sight....meaning I'm in the woods. But as far as regulations, nothing I'm aware of saying you CAN'T. Just be within AR 670-1 and you'll be golden

I dyed an old set of ACUs and wear a baseball cap instead of a PC. I get the benefit of wearing actual gear, without being in uniform, off duty.

Fort Bliss had a policy letter on wear of duty uniforms off post which include ACUs not being authorized for wear when not on duty or on the way to or from.

It was probably a temporary thing but worth looking into to make sure you're not violating any policies of your post.

I'm not aware of any Army Regulation which prevents it.

Sir, my recommendation would be to check your BN, BDE, DIVISION and installation policies. I say to check all the levels to ensure you don't violate a specific level after determining another may not have that policy. Start at your S3.

2LT Private RallyPoint Member For me, I religiously ruck every Friday 11pm-1am in my hometown with short shorts and sleeveless polyester tops. Reason why I dont do it on broad daylight is because I don't want to show off on the streets as you are putting a target on your back.
