As far as I can tell, they&#39;re AR-670-1 approved. I just was told they weren&#39;t allowed to be worn for a combat deployment. Only a CMD decision would go beyond the regs, so you simply need to ask your NCO. I deployed with them, but in winter was surely glad to have those gortex boots issued via ADO.
